With all of the craziness in the world today, we were fortunate enough as family to drive out West to Holland for the last few days to enjoy a little relaxation!
While on the trip we drove around Hope College's beautiful campus, browsed in a few of downtown Holland's fun little shops, and today we swam in Lake Michigan on the nearby Saugatuck shore. However, as a family we all agree that our favorite part of the whole vacation was eating dinner with Fred and Denise Lamb, both of whom were very good college friends of Bob back at Central Michigan! Not only did we get to hear a few old college stories about Dad, but we also got to hear more about how the Lambs and their children are doing these days. Yesterday was actually the birthday of one of their grandsons so happy birthday Oak!!!
All in all, we had a wonderful time as a family in Holland and would definitely recommend it to anybody else in need of a little break from reality (which seems to be more and more of us these days haha)!
But now that we're back home, we look forward to tomorrow which will be Sal and his Miracle League's opening day for the summer. Please wish him luck because we all know he needs it!!!
